.....Hon. Habiba Mohammed says initiative will strengthen grassroots governance across Niger State
The Vice Chairperson of Lapai Local Government Area, Hon. Habiba Mohammed, has commended Niger State Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago for providing operational vehicles to Vice Chairpersons of the 25 Local Government Areas in the state.
Speaking following the distribution of the vehicles, Hon. Mohammed described the initiative as a significant step towards strengthening grassroots governance and improving the capacity of local government officials to carry out their responsibilities effectively.
She noted that the provision of the vehicles demonstrates the state government's commitment to supporting local government administration and enhancing service delivery at the grassroots level.
According to the Vice Chairperson, the initiative will assist local government leaders in performing their duties more efficiently while contributing to the implementation of government programmes and community development efforts across the state.
Hon. Mohammed also expressed appreciation to the Niger State Government for what she described as continued support for local government leadership and efforts aimed at promoting inclusive governance.
The distribution of the vehicles is part of the state government's broader efforts to enhance the operational capacity of local government officials and strengthen governance structures across Niger State.
