BREAKING NEWS: POLICE RESCUE EX-MINISTER ADELABU'S SISTER, TWIN SONS; TWO SUSPECTED KIDNAPPERS KILLED

The Nigeria Police Force has successfully rescued Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul and her 12-year-old twin sons, Peter and Paul, following a coordinated rescue operation carried out on Saturday evening.

According to police authorities, the victims were rescued alive at about 7:30 p.m. on June 6, 2026, after spending three days in captivity.

Mrs. John-Paul, who is the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, alongside her twin sons, was abducted on June 3 while on her way to drop the children off at school.
Security sources disclosed that sustained intelligence gathering and tactical operations by police operatives led to the location of the kidnappers' hideout and the eventual rescue of the victims.

During the operation, two suspected kidnappers were neutralised in a gun battle with security personnel, while two firearms were recovered from the suspects.

Police authorities stated that the victims were rescued unharmed and are currently receiving necessary care and support.

Meanwhile, security operatives have intensified efforts to apprehend other members of the kidnapping syndicate. Authorities revealed that some suspects escaped during the confrontation and are believed to have sustained gunshot injuries.

The police assured the public of their commitment to combating kidnapping and other violent crimes, urging citizens to continue supporting security agencies with credible information that could aid ongoing investigations.

The successful operation marks another significant breakthrough in the fight against criminal elements across the country.
