NEWS UPDATE: Boko Haram Releases 416 Abducted Women, Children in Borno

Suspected Boko Haram insurgents have released 416 women and children abducted from Ngoshe community in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.

The President of the Borno South Youth Alliance (BOSYA), Samaila Kaigama, confirmed the development, stating that the captives regained their freedom on June 6 following sustained engagements and advocacy efforts.
Kaigama called on the Federal Government, Borno State Government, and relevant authorities to conduct proper screening and provide necessary support for the released victims.

The victims were among residents abducted during previous attacks on Ngoshe community by insurgents.
