The Management of the Fati Lami Abubakar Institute for Legal and Administrative Studies (FLAILAS), Minna, has denied allegations of employment racketeering within the institution, describing the claims as false, unfounded, and aimed at damaging its reputation.
In a statement issued on July 17, 2026, the institution said its attention had been drawn to reports circulating in some quarters alleging irregularities in its recruitment processes.
According to the management, all recruitment exercises conducted by the institution were duly approved and carried out in accordance with the guidelines, procedures, and regulations established by the Niger State Government and the Ministry for Tertiary Education.
The statement maintained that no staff member was employed outside the approved recruitment quota and that no individual or group was required to pay money or provide any form of gratification in exchange for employment.
FLAILAS further stated that its recruitment process was transparent, merit-based, and conducted in line with existing public service rules.
The institution also distanced itself from any alleged acts of job racketeering or unauthorized collection of money for employment opportunities, stressing that anyone making such claims or engaging in such activities does not represent the institution.
Management warned members of the public to be cautious of individuals posing as agents of the institution and demanding money in exchange for job placements.
“The institution will not be liable for any transaction entered into with fraudsters or job scammers claiming to offer employment opportunities on its behalf,” the statement said.
FLAILAS reiterated its commitment to integrity, accountability, transparency, and due process in all aspects of its operations.
