No fewer than 150 orphans and vulnerable children are expected to benefit from the free distribution of an inspirational story book unveiled by the From the Gutter to the World Initiative (FGWI) as part of efforts to promote literacy, hope and self-development among disadvantaged youths.
The initiative officially launched and unveiled its story book during a ceremony attended by stakeholders, youth advocates and community leaders, with the distribution targeted at inspiring young people to rise above challenges and pursue meaningful goals in life.
Speaking at the event, the Founder and President of FGWI, Comrade Ibrahim, said the book captures the realities, struggles and triumphs of individuals who overcame difficult circumstances to achieve success, noting that the publication is designed to motivate young people, especially those from vulnerable backgrounds.
He explained that the organisation remains committed to empowering youths through education, mentorship and social intervention programmes, assuring that FGWI would continue to initiate projects that positively impact lives and create opportunities for the less privileged.
According to him, the free distribution of the book forms part of the organisation's broader vision of nurturing a generation of resilient and productive citizens capable of contributing meaningfully to national development.
The Grand Patron of the initiative Hon. Mohammed Rabiu Daja former Aspirant House of rwpresentative for Kontagora, Wushishi, Mashegu, Mariga who was represented by his his director protocol Shuaibu Jibrin Daja commended the founder for conceiving and sustaining the project, describing it as a courageous and selfless contribution towards building a better society.
He called on Nigerian youths to emulate such initiatives by using their talents, resources and influence to address societal challenges rather than waiting for government intervention alone.
The Dan Dokajin Kontagors stressed that sustainable development requires collective responsibility, urging young people to channel their energy towards programmes that uplift communities and inspire positive change.
Participants at the event described the initiative as timely, noting that the book would serve as a source of encouragement and guidance for many children facing social and economic challenges.
The launch also featured the formal flag-off of the free distribution of the FGWI story book to beneficiaries drawn from orphanages, schools and vulnerable groups within the community.
