President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Vice President Kashim Shettima on his 60th birthday, describing him as a trusted partner whose public service has been marked by commitment to Borno State and Nigeria.
Shettima, who turned 60 on Wednesday, September 2, received the President’s goodwill message in which Tinubu extended his congratulations to the Vice President’s wife, Nana, his children, family members and political associates.
The President commended Shettima’s contributions to Nigeria, including his career in banking and his tenure as Governor of Borno State.
Tinubu said Shettima demonstrated dedication, diligence and compassion during his time as governor, particularly through efforts aimed at improving the welfare of residents. He also praised the Vice President for his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his support for the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
According to the President, Shettima has also played a significant role as Chairman of the National Economic Council (NEC), where he has contributed to the coordination of economic policies and strengthened cooperation between the Federal Government and state governments.
Tinubu further commended the Vice President’s respect for the Constitution and democratic institutions, as well as his approach to dialogue and consultation, which he said had contributed to effective governance.
The President expressed appreciation to Shettima for his loyalty and support, assuring him of his continued partnership in delivering on the administration’s commitments under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Tinubu concluded by wishing the Vice President good health, wisdom and long life, while praying for continued guidance and strength for him to serve the country successfully.
