Ambassador Honourable Maimuna Raji Egigogo has been appointed Woman Leader of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State.
Ms Egigogo, in a statement appreciating the appointment, described the new responsibility as a call to service and greater commitment to the people rather than merely a political position.
“Alhamdulillah Ya Samad. I am deeply honoured and profoundly grateful to have been appointed as the Woman Leader of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Lapai Local Government Area,” she said.
She expressed appreciation to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the confidence reposed in her, promising to contribute to the success of the movement and its objectives.
The new woman leader also acknowledged her political mentor, Hon. Muazu Hamidu Jantabo, whom she described as a new-generation leader, for his guidance, encouragement and mentorship.
According to her, Mr Jantabo’s confidence in her capacity has continued to inspire her political journey.
She prayed that Allah would grant him wisdom and strength and reward him with greater accomplishments.
Ms Egigogo said her appointment would provide an opportunity to amplify the voices of women, encourage their participation in political and community affairs, mobilise at the grassroots and build bridges within the community.
She said leadership should be viewed as a responsibility that requires service, sacrifice and impact.
“This appointment is a reminder that leadership is not about titles; it is about service, sacrifice and impact. It is not just an appointment; it is a mandate to serve,” she said.
She thanked the leadership and members of the movement for the confidence and opportunity, pledging her commitment to the responsibilities entrusted to her.
