President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations, Hon. Abubakar Kabir Bichi, on his 45th birthday.
The congratulatory message was contained in a statement issued on Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
According to the statement, President Tinubu described Bichi, who represents the Bichi Federal Constituency of Kano State, as a committed and capable legislator who has demonstrated dedication to legislative duties and national development.
The President commended Bichi’s role as chairman of one of the House of Representatives’ key committees, particularly in overseeing the consideration, scrutiny and approval of the annual national budget.
Tinubu also acknowledged Bichi’s representation of his constituents, citing his reported contributions in education, infrastructure development and youth empowerment.
Bichi was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2019. He previously served as Chairman of the House Committee on Works during the Ninth Assembly before becoming Chairman of the Committee on Appropriations in the Tenth Assembly.
President Tinubu urged Bichi to sustain his commitment to serving his constituents and the country, while wishing him continued good health, wisdom and strength.
