An aspirant seeking to represent the Agaie/Lapai constituency under the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Arc. Ahmed Isah Iman, has formally declared his intention to join the race, saying his ambition is driven by the need to improve representation and promote development across the constituency.
Speaking during a visit to Lapai, the aspirant said the visit was part of consultations and an opportunity to seek family blessings in support of his political ambition.
According to Arc. Ahmed Isah Iman, his decision to contest stems from what he described as inadequate representation and the need to deliver meaningful development to the people of Agaie and Lapai.
He stated that his aspiration is focused on providing effective representation and creating opportunities that will foster progress within the constituency.
Commenting on the political landscape, Arc. Ahmed Isah Iman criticised the performance of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), alleging that the party has not met public expectations in governance.
He also expressed confidence in the prospects of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), stating that the party seeks to provide an alternative platform centred on addressing the needs of citizens and improving governance outcomes.
Also speaking, a member of the campaign’s inner caucus, Bashir Minkail Sheikh, called on residents of Agaie and Lapai to remain actively involved in the democratic process and support political participation.
The campaign team maintained that the movement is focused on presenting a renewed vision for representation and development across the constituency.
