The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned proceedings in the case filed by the Department of State Services (DSS) over the alleged bugging of the phone of National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, involving former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
The matter was adjourned to September 22 to allow the defence to file a no-case submission and for continuation of proceedings.
Counsel to El-Rufai, Paul Erokoro (SAN), informed the court that the defence intends to submit a no-case application, arguing that the prosecution has not presented sufficient evidence requiring the defendant to open his defence.
