Concerns have emerged over the welfare of boarding students at CAIS Minna following allegations that students have been without adequate food supply for more than three weeks.
The concerns were raised by a concerned parent, who alleged that boarding students at the institution have been facing severe feeding challenges, forcing some of them to return home periodically to access meals before resuming school activities.
According to reports, the situation may be linked to an alleged discrepancy in the number of boarding students officially recorded by the school. It was claimed that authorities discovered irregularities in student figures submitted by the school management, leading to the suspension of food supplies pending further clarification.
Efforts to obtain official comments from the Niger State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education were unsuccessful as of the time of filing this report. Calls and messages sent to relevant officials reportedly received no response.
