The landing cost of imported Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, has dropped to ₦983.92 per litre, below Dangote Refinery's current gantry price of ₦1,125 per litre.
According to the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN), the lower import cost reflects a decline in international market prices, making imported petrol temporarily cheaper than locally refined supply.
However, MEMAN noted that the 30-day average import cost remains slightly higher than Dangote Refinery's gantry price, indicating that the market continues to experience price fluctuations.
