The All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed a purported list of successful candidates from its recently concluded primaries currently circulating on social media and other platforms, describing it as fake and unauthorized.
In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, the party's National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, clarified that the APC has not officially released the list of candidates who emerged from the primaries.
Morka urged party members, stakeholders, and the general public to disregard any publication claiming to contain the official results of the primaries.
According to him, successful candidates will be formally notified through the party's official channels, after which certificates of return will be issued in line with established procedures.
The APC spokesperson also advised the public to rely solely on information released through the party's authorized communication platforms to avoid misinformation.
The clarification comes as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) continues preparations for the 2027 general elections, including the submission of candidates' names by political parties.
Party sources indicated that internal collation and verification of primary election results are still ongoing, pending the official release of the final list of successful candidates.
The APC said distancing itself from the circulating list became necessary to prevent confusion among aspirants, party members, and the electorate.
