The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, says President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is considering measures to improve the welfare of workers in Nigeria's information sector.
The minister disclosed this on Tuesday during the 2026 Civil Service Week celebration at the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation in Abuja.
According to Idris, President Tinubu has directed the ministry to explore ways of enhancing the welfare and working conditions of information officers across the country.
He said the Federal Government remains committed to rewarding dedication, professionalism, and excellence in public service.
The minister also commended civil servants for their contributions to national development and urged them to remain committed to integrity, accountability, and efficient service delivery.
Earlier, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry, Dr. Binyerem C. Ukaire, praised civil servants for their role in ensuring effective government operations and service delivery.
