Woman Found Dead on Farm in Lapai After Failing to Return Home

A tragic incident has been reported in Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State following the death of a woman, Fatima Muhammad, on her farm on Friday.

Speaking with Lapai TV, her son, Muhammad Abubakar Ndako, said his mother left home for her farm in good health but failed to return, prompting concern among family members, especially after rainfall in the area.
According to him, he was playing football when his mother departed for the farm.

"She told me she would be back soon. As she was leaving, I noticed she kept turning back after every few steps. I asked if she was okay, and she replied that she was fine and asked me to continue what I was doing," he recounted.

The son explained that when she did not return home, family members and concerned residents began a search. Those who later went to the farm reportedly discovered her lifeless body. Witnesses said she was found bent over, with her head inside the pan she had taken to the farm, while her hands were still holding it.

The family has announced that her burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. today along Daudu Maza Road in Lapai, in accordance with Islamic rites.

We pray that Allah grants her Jannatul Firdaus and may He make her grave the most comfortable place for her.
