Kuchi Youth Groups Pay Final Respects to Late Leader Zakari Kuchi

Community youths and residents mourn respected leader remembered for promoting unity and peaceful coexisleader

The Kuchi community and residents across Kuchi Kebba, Ezhin, Kuchi Yabata, Katakpa, Ebbo and neighbouring communities are mourning the death of Zakari Suleima Kuchi, a youth leader who died in a motor accident along the Abuja–Lokoja Expressway on Friday evening.

According to a tribute signed by Haruna Mohammed Ezhin, APC Secretary of Ebbo Gbacinku Ward, Lapai Local Government Area, Zakari died in the crash and was buried on Saturday at the Kuchi Central Mosque.

The burial was led by the Chief Imam and attended by members of the community and a large number of youths who gathered to pay their final respects. Former Minister of Power, Hajiya Zainab Ibrahim Kuchi, was also reported to have attended the burial.

Zakari was described in the tribute as a respected youth leader and coordinator who played a role in bringing together different youth groups within Kuchi and surrounding settlements.

He was said to have worked to promote unity, peaceful relations and collective development among young people in the area.

Beyond his community activities, the tribute described Zakari as a devoted Muslim, husband and father who was known for his simplicity, loyalty and willingness to assist others.

His death has left family members, friends and members of the Kuchi youth community mourning his loss and reflecting on his contributions to the community.

The tribute, signed by Haruna Mohammed Ezhin, expressed condolences to Zakari's family, the youth community and residents of Kuchi, while praying for the deceased to be granted Aljannah Firdaus and for the bereaved family to be granted the strength to bear the loss.
