A ₦40 million Zonal Intervention Project earmarked for the provision of classroom and laboratory facilities at Etsugaie Secondary School in Agaie Local Government Area of Niger State had not commenced as of September 9, 2026, according to a monitoring visit by Tracka.
The project, identified as ZIP20251090, lists the Upper Niger River Basin Development Authority (Upper Niger RBDA), under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources, as the implementing agency.
During the field monitoring visit, the team reported finding no evidence of the proposed construction works at the school, indicating that the project had not started as of the date of inspection.
The school's existing infrastructure was assessed as fairly satisfactory, although the monitoring team observed roof leakages and damaged ceilings. It also identified the need for a standard laboratory, adequate furniture and teaching aids to support teaching, learning and practical activities.
The status of the ₦40 million allocation and whether any payments have been made toward the project remain unclear from the information provided.
Tracka said it would engage the Ministry of Water Resources and the Upper Niger RBDA to seek clarification on the project's implementation status and any reported payments.
