Tanker drivers have warned motorists and travellers that the Lambata–Maje Road in Niger State is expected to be closed on Sunday, September 13, 2026, over the deteriorating condition of the road.
According to the warning issued by the tanker drivers, the planned closure is intended to draw attention to the poor state of the road and the need for urgent rehabilitation.
The drivers advised motorists, particularly those transporting goods along the route, to make alternative arrangements from Saturday, September 12, ahead of the planned closure.
They said the road would remain inaccessible until discussions and action are taken towards addressing the condition of the route.
The tanker drivers urged road users to take note of the planned closure to avoid being stranded or delayed when the action begins.
