Emir of Lapai Assures Communities of Imminent Electricity Restoration

The Emir of Lapai, His Royal Highness Alhaji Umar Bago III, has assured communities affected by the electricity outage in parts of the Emirate that power supply will soon be restored.

The Emir called on residents to exercise a little more patience, saying efforts are ongoing to complete the necessary technical processes for the restoration of electricity supply.
The assurance was contained in a statement made available to Lapai TV by the Lapai Emirate Secretary, Amb Umar A Ibrahim, following an inspection visit by officials of the Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA), the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) and the Niger State Ministry of Works.

The officials inspected the ongoing finishing and installation works on the new 10KVA transformer, as part of efforts to restore electricity to the affected communities.

The Emir expressed optimism that the completion of the ongoing works would pave the way for the restoration of electricity supply, while urging residents to remain patient as the relevant technical procedures are concluded.
