Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, by N75 per litre.
According to a notice issued to fuel marketers on Monday, the refinery reduced its gantry price from N1,250 to N1,175 per litre. The new pricing took effect from midnight on June 16, 2026.
The refinery attributed the price reduction to the easing of tensions in the Middle East, which had previously driven up global energy prices.
Dangote Refinery also reviewed its coastal price per metric tonne downward, reducing it from N1,595,790 to N1,495,215.
The company stated that all outstanding unloaded gantry volumes would be repriced at the new rate and reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring reliable product supply and quality service delivery.
The latest adjustment is expected to provide relief to consumers and fuel marketers as global crude oil prices continue to decline following improvements in the international oil market.
