Vice President Kashim Shettima has said that the policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu are designed to benefit Nigerian youths, noting that the administration is adopting innovative approaches to address the challenges of the 21st century.
Shettima made the remarks during a meeting with leaders of the City Boy Movement at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where he described young people as critical stakeholders in Nigeria’s development and the future of its democracy.
According to the Vice President, the Federal Government is implementing key economic reforms aimed at revitalising the economy and ensuring sustainable development. He stressed that the success of the reforms requires patience, resilience and the support of citizens.
He also noted that democracy goes beyond elections, emphasizing the importance of public participation and collective commitment to policies that promote national progress.
Shettima commended the City Boy Movement for its efforts in mobilising public support and promoting government policies, while highlighting the values of unity, integrity and responsible leadership.
The group, led by Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, pledged to continue its nationwide mobilisation campaign in support of President Tinubu's re-election bid in 2027.
