The man at the centre of the controversial fake agency scandal, Adeniyi Adeyemi, has reportedly deactivated his social media accounts and taken down several websites linked to his activities following growing public scrutiny and criminal charges.
Adeyemi, who allegedly presented himself as the Director-General of the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), is facing an eight-count charge of forgery and impersonation filed by the Federal Government before the Federal High Court.
Investigations revealed that his main Facebook account and websites linked to his projects, including the proposed 2026 World Investment Summit, are no longer accessible.
The Presidency had earlier disowned both Adeyemi and the PFIPC, with Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, stating that no such agency exists and that no appointment was made under the Tinubu administration.
Despite the allegations, Adeyemi has denied any wrongdoing and maintains that he will prove his innocence in court.
