Former APC Lapai Assembly Aspirant Abdullah Ibn Abdulazizi Appointed Niger Youth Leader of Yari 774 Initiative

Former All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant for the Lapai State Constituency seat in the Niger State House of Assembly, Abdullah Ibn Abdulazizi, has been appointed as the Niger State Youth Leader of the Yari 774 Initiative for Asiwaju 2027, a political support group backing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Abdulazizi, who is also known as Sardaunan Samarin Lapai, announced the appointment in a statement, describing it as a call to service. He expressed appreciation to the national leadership of the Yari 774 Initiative, state coordinators, stakeholders, and youths across Niger State for the confidence reposed in him.

He pledged to use his new position to promote youth unity, grassroots mobilisation, empowerment, inclusion, and peaceful political engagement across the 25 local government areas of Niger State.

The newly appointed youth leader also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that the administration's Renewed Hope Agenda had continued to create opportunities for young Nigerians. He further acknowledged former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdul'aziz Yari Abubakar, whom he identified as the Grand Patron of the initiative, for providing a platform that encourages youth participation across Nigeria's 774 local government areas.

In his statement, Abdulazizi called on youths, supporters, and residents of Niger State to continue supporting Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago's administration and his anticipated second-term bid, citing the governor's developmental initiatives.

He also appealed for prayers, advice, and cooperation as he assumes the leadership role, reaffirming his commitment to working with stakeholders to strengthen grassroots political participation and youth engagement across the state.

The Yari 774 Initiative is a political mobilisation platform with structures across Nigeria's 774 local government areas, established to mobilise support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and promote grassroots political participation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
