Student leaders of the Niger State College of Health Technology, Anguwan Daji, Minna, have sought a strategic partnership with the Niger State Primary Health Care Development Agency (NSPHCDA) to expand community-based healthcare initiatives across the state.
The delegation, led by Students' Union Government (SUG) President, Comrade Abdullahi Usman Ndagbe, and National Association of Niger State Students (NANISS) President, Comrade Abdulrahman Legbo Suleiman, paid an advocacy visit to the Executive Director of NSPHCDA, Dr. Inuwa Junaidu.
During the visit, the student leaders congratulated Dr. Junaidu on his appointment and presented him with an Award of Excellence in recognition of his contributions to strengthening primary healthcare in Niger State.
They also submitted a proposal seeking the agency's support for medical outreach programmes aimed at improving access to basic healthcare services, promoting disease prevention, and enhancing public health awareness, particularly in underserved communities.
In his response, Dr. Junaidu commended the students for their initiative and commitment to community service, describing youth participation as vital to achieving sustainable healthcare delivery. He assured the delegation of the agency's willingness to collaborate within its mandate and available resources.
