A notorious bandit leader, popularly known as Kachalla Sani Yellow, has been reportedly killed during a security operation in Zamfara State.
According to security sources, Sani Yellow was neutralised following a coordinated operation based on intelligence gathered from local residents. He was reportedly intercepted while attempting to collect proceeds linked to cattle rustling and ransom payments.
Sani Yellow was widely known for his alleged involvement in banditry activities across parts of Anka, Bukkuyum and Maru Local Government Areas of Zamfara State.
Authorities linked him to numerous attacks, kidnappings for ransom, cattle rustling and other criminal activities that have contributed to insecurity in several communities across the state.
Security sources said surveillance and security measures have been intensified in affected areas to prevent possible retaliatory attacks by members of his group. Additional personnel have also been deployed to vulnerable communities to safeguard lives and property.
