Alhaji Ibrahim L. Ahmed, the Santurakin Lapai and Permanent Commissioner II of the Niger State Civil Service Commission, has expressed appreciation to Governor Umar Mohammed Bago, the Etsu Lapai, traditional leaders, government officials, and members of the public for their support following the death of his wife, Hajiya Fatima Ibrahim Ahmed.
In a statement issued on behalf of the family, Alhaji Ahmed thanked sympathizers for their prayers, condolences, and solidarity during the period of mourning after the passing of Hajiya Fatima on June 17, 2026.
He particularly appreciated Niger State Governor Umar Mohammed Bago for his support and compassion, as well as Senator Zainab Abdulkadir Kure, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Mu’azu Hamidu Jantabo, and other serving and former government officials who stood by the family.
The family also acknowledged the support of the traditional institution, especially the Etsu Lapai, Engr. Umar Bago Tafida III, for sending a delegation to condole with them.
Alhaji Ahmed further extended gratitude to the Niger State Civil Service Commission, the Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries, political and religious leaders, community members, neighbours, and media organisations, including Lapai TV and Prestige FM Minna.
The family prayed for Allah’s blessings upon all those who offered support and requested continued prayers for the repose of the soul of Hajiya Fatima Ibrahim Ahmed.
