Tracka has called for urgent improvements in school security following the release of pupils and teachers abducted in Oyo State after spending 56 days in captivity.
The civic accountability organisation described the victims' release as a welcome development but said it underscores the need for stronger measures to prevent future attacks on schools.
Tracka stated that every child deserves access to education in a safe and secure environment, stressing that government should prioritise the protection of schools through improved security, strengthened intelligence and emergency response systems, and the prosecution of those responsible for such crimes.
The organisation added that lasting progress would be achieved only when pupils, teachers, and communities are protected from the threat of abduction.
