The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kudu/Gabas Ward, Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, has suspended Ahmad Abubakar Ahmad (Bauchi), Personal Assistant to Hon. Mamudu Abdullahi, the member representing Agaie/Lapai Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
In a letter issued by the Ward Executive Committee, the party said the suspension takes immediate effect pending the conclusion of disciplinary proceedings.
The committee cited his alleged repeated absence from ward meetings and conduct considered detrimental to the unity, discipline and progress of the party.
The ward leadership stated that the action was taken in line with the provisions of the APC Constitution and that the affected member would be given a fair hearing before a final decision is reached.
