Mrs. Amina Mayaki Wins ₦1.5 Million Grant at MTN-Sponsored Pitchathon

Mrs. Amina Mayaki, an entrepreneur from Bida Local Government Area of Niger State, has won a ₦1.5 million grant after her fashion brand, VOGUES BY MAJ, emerged as the first runner-up at The Gathering Pitchathon, a business pitching competition sponsored by MTN Nigeria.
The recognition highlights the growing impact of innovative and sustainable business models within Nigeria's fashion industry, where entrepreneurs are increasingly leveraging technology to improve design, production, and customer experience.

VOGUES BY MAJ focuses on bespoke fashion design and digital fashion illustration, enabling clients to visualize outfits before production. The brand also promotes sustainability by repurposing fabric offcuts into functional and marketable products, reducing waste in the fashion value chain.

She noted that the ₦1.5 million grant will support the expansion of the company's operations through the acquisition of improved equipment, increased production capacity, and the development of new initiatives aimed at strengthening its impact in the fashion sector.
Mrs. Mayaki also expressed appreciation to MTN Nigeria, the organizers of The Gathering Pitchathon, judges, mentors, clients, and supporters for their contributions to the success of the initiative and for encouraging entrepreneurship through funding and mentorship opportunities.
